Bikash Victor D' Rozario

This is Brother Victor D' Rozario, CSC and my nick name is Bikash, a Holy Cross Brother from Bangladesh.
A brief background myself:
I was born in Dhaka Holy Family Hospital in April 29, 1960. My parents were late Joseph D'Rozario and late Sandha Rani V. Gomes. We lived in the old Town of Dhaka since we moved to the village in 1965 during the Hindu-Muslim riot to Chaitan (my home village), Nagari, Gazipur. I am the 3rd among the 7 siblings of my family. All the siblings got married and they have two or three kids. Both my parents died. My father died in January 17, 1984 and my mother died in April 30, 1998. But they are still alive in my memory and in our midst. May God give them Eternal Rest.
 
My Educational Journey:
I started my schooling in 1966 at the age of 5 years and 8 Months at St. Nicholas Primary School, Nagari, Gazipur. I was admited in K.G. In 1972 after the Libaration War of Bangladesh I was admited in Class VI at St. Nicholas High School and completed my School Certificate Examination (S.S.C.) in 1977 from Science Group in 2nd Division. In July 1977 I got admited at Notre Dame College, Dhaka in Commerce Group and passed in 2nd Division in the year of 1979. After a two year break of studies I got admited at Tejgaon College, Dhaka in 1982 and completed my Bachelor of Commerce Degree (B.Com) in the year of 1983. I did my Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from Chittagong B.Ed. College under Chittagong University in 1989 securing Higher Second Class.
I finished my Masters of Education (M.Ed.) degree from Dhaka University under Institute of Education and Research (IER) department in 1998 and acquired 2nd Class. I completed my Masters of Human Services (MAHS) degree from St. Edward's University, Austin, Texas in May 2006.
Besides my educational studies I did some professonal training courses under Government and Non-Government institutions/organizations.
 

My Mission and Vision

Just Sitting and Thinking

My mission and work places:
(1.) I started my educational profession in September 16, 1980 at St. Nicholas High School after my 1st profession of religious vows. I was appointed as a teacher and as well as Hostel In Charge of St. Nicholas School and Boys Hostel. It was my first experience of teaching and Hostel master. I continued my teaching and hostel job till April 1981.
(2) Than I was transfered to Bandura Holy Cross High School, Hashnabad, Dhaka in May 1981. I taught there until December 1981.
(3) After finishing two years of graduation studies and three months training at Jessore Catecatical Training Center I was appointed at Bandura Holy Cross High School again in January 1984. I taught there more than two and a half years.
(4) In August 1986 I was appointed as the Director of Holy Cross Juniorate at Nagari, Gazipur and a teacher of St. Nicholas High School for the 2nd time. I taught and later became assistant Director of Holy Cross Juniorate till April 1988.
(5) I was asked to teach at St. Placid's High School, Patharghata, Chittagong from May 1, 1988 and I got admitted at Chittagong B.Ed. College in August 1988 and completed my B.Ed. course in May 1989.
(6) As soon as I completed my B.Ed. examination I was assigned as a teacher at Udyan High School Barisal in June 1989. I had taught there about a year and a half.
(7) In January 1991 Iwas assigned at ST. Joseph School of Industrial Trades, 32/33, Shah Shahib Lane, Narinda, Dhaka to help in the office as well as take some technical skill training. There I also took care of the "Bahini Program" (It's a skill training for the street kids who don't have parents or parents left them).
(8) In January 1992 the authority assigned me at "Miriam Ashram High School, Diang, Chittagong. I taught in the school and took care of the Boarding house. There were over hundred students in the Hostel, who came from very poor areas as well as from poor families.
(9) In April 1994  again I was assigned by the provincial to work as assistant to the principal of St. Joseph School of Industrial Trades, Narinda, Dhaka. Later I worked as Principal of the School from January 1995 to 97. During my stay there and working as Principal I got admitted to IER (Institute of Education and Research), Dhaka University for my M.Ed. (Masters of Education) course.
(10) In January 1998 I was assigned to St. Joseph High School, Mohammedpur, Dhaka as Assistant Headmaster. In May I completed my M.Ed. degree while I was teaching and doing the administrative work.
(11) In July 6, 1999 I joined the Mymensingh Diocese and assigned as Headmaster of Biroidakuni High School, Rangrapara, Haluaghat, Mymensingh in August 16, 1999. I visited some parishes of the diocese before I was appointed there. I worked there until December 2011 and took a Sabbatical break in January 2012......... I am in Manila now.
